November 13 is just around the corner and the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito at the Cowboy Stadium on Dallas, Texas is drawing nearer.

Who do you think would win fellow warriors?

P.S.: I'm thinking of making a boxing niche website since Yahoo said the Book on Pacquiao, optly titled "PacMan", is the hottest selling book on amazon..problem is my laptop broke down (bummer :confused

Update: Thanks for all the comments guys. Pacquiao won convincingly via UD against Margarito (goodness he's a complete mess).

Apart from Manny Pacquiao and his superstar status, the popularity of boxing as a whole is waning dramatically. The boxing gym in my part of town is losing potential new members to MMA.

(To be honest, I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner since it's long been known that wrestlers usually defeat boxers in fights.)

I've been boxing since I was young, and it's a much much different world than wrestling. It's a whole new science, no pun intended, and don't get me wrong, if a fight goes to the ground, the wrestler wins, but if the fight stays standing up, I'm winning for sure. I can guarantee that.

Again, not to be insulting, I've always felt MMA is not really fighting, yes, I understand it's rigorous exercise, and demanding training, but I just never really liked two guys rolling on the floor, either tired out, or trying to submit each other.
I'd rather have two guys duke it out until one is either knocked out, or it goes to the judges.
Tell me where you'll see another Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez 1? Certainly not in MMA. That fight was epic.

Well, I made a short post too long, but to answer the OP question.

Unfortunately, I'm going with the smart side of me, not my prideful side, and I'll go with Pacquiao. Margarito is ok, but he got destroyed by Sugar Shane Moseley.

Sorry to offend. I'm just relaying what I've directly witnessed in my time, but it's anecdotal evidence I know. That said, Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez match nicely illustrates your point. MMA incorporates all of it, and thus is drawing new recruits big-time and huge audiences. (There's also probably less brain damage inflicted in MMA as well).

To get to the original question which I never added my two-cents to, lol, I believe that Manny Pacquiao will defeat Margarito, speed being the deciding factor.

Boxing is a waning niche. Business, not personal.

I was right on this one, of course. It's not like it would have taken a fortune teller to see foresee that.

Apart from being a uniquely great boxer, Manny Pacquiao is clearly an all-round good guy. In fact, he is a genuine hero (not even talking about boxing when I say that). I think that he should now retire from boxing at the top with nothing more to prove, having already reached the pinnacle of success in it in eight different weight categories (!), and now concentrate on serving his constituents in his day-job as a Filipino congressman.

Margarito I believe is taller and bigger than Manny and that could give Manny probs but Manny's relentlessness and strong chin will win the day.

    And then...

Manny can get it on with Mayweather.

( provided Mayweather can stay out of jail )

Definitely the PacMan, no questions. Too fast for everybody in his weight class. Margarito has heart but it won't be enough here.

The thing that I'm looking out for is margarito's height. That height gives good advantage such as better reach and a look at the things

      That a little much.

Your concept of history must be very short.

I could name a three dozen fighters that were better than Manny.
