Hello Everyone

Given that same information is provided in lengthy and short posts,

1. How many of you actually like to read those long posts made on this forum or anywhere else ?

2. Do u think small and straight to the point posts are what you like ?

Please try to say what you like

Clarification:

I meant if a poster can provide same quality information in smaller posts through his writing skills

Depends on what subject we discuss, because if it's something that needs some explanation, then the long posts are more good instead the small ones...and also vice versa.
I voted for the long posts.

Whether it is long or short I don't really care as far as it is not a crap. Value is the keyword.

well, given your clarification, i'd say the short posts; why would anyone want to read long posts that contain the same information as the short ones? this means the long posts contain a lot of word stuffing and that, i think, it's just a waste of time

i love reading long posts when they speak about something that i'm really interested in; when it starts kinda' like an addictive story

Size doesn't matter. I like great posts.

Great posts are great posts as suggested.

However, if I can get it in a shorter thread, I prefer that.

Otherwise, given your clarification, it's just going to be filler in the longer post vs the shorter one that gives the same info.

If I have a burning question or am really confused about something, I'd prefer a long post that explains in detail. But otherwise, I'd definitely prefer a short post.

Well written + Value. I have a tendency to write lengthier posts myself, unless I am posting from the iphone. But I don't mind reading longer posts, either way. But if the longer post is not presenting information coherently (why use 5 sentences when 1 will do?) then it's not AS worth reading, but can still be worth reading.

And where's option 4) It depends - Both long AND short posts serve their purpose

I rather read a small post, most long posts are just pointless stories that get to information in a few parts.

Stealing a line from another Warrior...

A post should be like a woman's skirt - long enough to cover what needs to be covered, but short enough to keep things interesting.
