Welcome to the forum! I registered in Feb 2003, though I did some lurking before that.

    Cheers,
    Becky

If you click on a person and select "statistics" you can see when they joined - or just look left under my picture.

I registered in May of 2006, and started posting right away.

    However...

I don't feel like I became a real member of the WF until about a year later. That's when I started getting a better idea of what it's all about.

It's kind of like somebody turning 18. According to the law, they are an adult, but they may not feel like an adult for several years to come. Heck, some of them never fully grow up and end up in the Off-Topic section of the WF.

    All the best,
    Michael

I joined in 97, I think. Maybe early 98. It's all kind of fuzzy...

I know I had to physically mail a check for the membership fee. Can you imagine?!

    Ha Paul,
I remember having to do that for my Winzip registration. In return they would email you a registration number for immediate use and a floppy disk with the program on it.
    Those were the days.....

I came in sometime in the late 90's too. I don't remember mailing a check but that doesn't mean anything considering I slept since then!!! lolololol

    Paul & Kim ... remember how a lot of folks used to bust Allan's chops to get a real forum package installed? That old setup was so much fun. Some times I miss it ... most of the time I don't! :-}

I originally joined in 2001 or 2002 - forget which - when the only way to get in here was to buy certain products. Got distracted and then rejoined in 2004.

Join dates are displayed below forum names when people post.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

The Uni-Sol system? It was the worst PITA to moderate on that I've ever dealt with. But, it did host some very popular (for the time) forums.

I can guarantee you that I haven't missed it since the first day on the Snitz version.
