Yeah, it's horrible! You see NICE women or girls locked in BAD relationships, or young women you like, but are too old for, and figure IF ONLY I WERE YOUNGER! 8-( Oh well.... C'est la vie!

No, Sumit. No I can't. I don't think there are any like MI girls anywhere in the world. Some people are thankful for that.

Dennis........um.....MARRIED............apparently you got one very major break.

When the girls were into bad boys I was a nice guy. When they wanted a nice guy I was a bad boy. Now they want nerds, and I qualify, but I'm married.

Man, I can't get no breaks.

You guys have obviously never seen a picture of my wife. Don't go feeling sorry for me. I married my high school sweetheart. The portions of "the picture of me" that you drew for yourselves are wildly off target.

Of course - from your pic, I wouldn't classify you as a "nerd". And from what I know of your romance with wordcraft - I would expect the word that probably fits your wife, without benefit of pictures, would be "exotic".
Aw...come on Sal, I wanna be a nerd, I wanna be a nerd! Actually, my youngest daughter called me that after my second or third book on web design so her comment is my primary qualifier.

I like the "romance with wordcraft" comment.

As for my wife being exotic, I guess that depends on your definition of exotic. One definition could loosely fit, but it wouldn't be my first choice of words. Nice guess though. I'd post her picture for you but she's a very private person, although her pic was in my last book.

Nah, I was a bad boy in high school. A long haired hippie freak who experimented with ... well, it's enough to say, I experimented.

Surprise. I had you pictured as a skinny kid with a pocket protector - one that was full of pens not stash.

And no-- just goes to prove my last statement in the 2012 thread. Once something is existent, it can never again be non-existent. Good job, Einstein.:p

This original song is the story of my life. I was indeed the stereotypical nerd
          growing up.

The song is of the Broadway show tune variety. I wrote it about 8 years
ago. It's quite different from the stuff you've heard me do of late.

You can hear it below. The orchestral beginning is a little loud so you might
want to turn down the volume a bit for the first 5 seconds or so.

I did enter this into the latest song contest under miscellaneous. We'll see
how it does. Personally, I think it's one of the best pieces of music I've
ever written, though not at all what you'd call commercial unless you're
actually thinking of doing a Broadway play...which I had considered, but
          scrapped the idea.

          Anyway, here's the tune..."I'm Not A Nerd"

Here are the lyrics so you can follow along.

          I'm Not A Nerd
          (Idea for a Broadway Musical)

          Spoken:

Jerry: Hey Chuckie, what the heck is wrong with me?
Chuckie: I don't know Jerry. Do I look like a doctor?
Jerry: No Chuckie, I'm not sick.
Chuckie: Well that's good to know Jerry.
Jerry: You don't understand. My social life is in the toilet.
Chuckie: Well if you've got bathroom problems Jerry.
Jerry: It's not bathroom problems Chuckie, it's girl problems.
Chuckie: What kind of girl problems Jerry?
Jerry: They just don't like me Chuckie. They don't like me cause I'm a nerd.

          Sung:

          Verse 1:

Someone tell me why is it when I walk down the street
Girls they look at me like I had two heads and four feet
I don't understand it...is it these clothes that I wear?
Or is it the Clark Kent specs or how I comb my hair?
They way girls they look at me's so absurd
          And I don't understand...that I know I'm not a nerd

          Verse 2:

So what that I like to read...since when is that a crime?
The way girls check out my book bag you'd think that I'd done time
And what if I've got my head buried in a microscope?
The way the girls examine me you think I'd shot the Pope
I can't stand to hear them call me that word
          Everyday...June to May...All they say is I'm a nerd

          Spoken:

Jerry: Well I'm not a nerd. Okay, well...maybe just a little one. But where would this world be without nerds? Without nerds we wouldn't have Bill Gates or Microsoft.

Chuckie: And that's a good thing Jerry?

Jerry: Oh Chuckie, go back to sleep.

Chuckie: Oh thanks Jerry. I really needed a nap. Now where did I put that blanket?

Jerry: Ah Chuckie, you're probably sleepin' on it. Oy, and they call me a nerd.

          Sung:

          Partial Verse:

I can't stand to hear them call me that word
          Everyday...June to May...All they say is I'm a nerd

          Verse 3:

Someday when I'm famous I'll have every girl in town
They will look at me and see a man and not a clown
I'll have the respect that I deserve and so much more
Girls will look at me like they had never done before

          Final:

I won't have to worry now when I go walk outside
Whenever I see a girl won't have to go and hide
Never have to worry that some girl will laugh at me
I'll know I'm a man that some of them will never see

And I will walk on down the street and hold my head up high
Laughin' at the girls who laughed at me when I walked by
And I'll sing out just like a man in voice they've never heard
Look out world, this geek's grown up and I can tell them all

          I'm not a nerd
