I don't know whether it is the right forum to ask this or not. If not then please move it to its correct position.

I am currently studying in an university and have created my WF account when I lived at home. Since now I am not at home, I am accessing my account through our college's IP. I just wanna to know that is there any thing illegal in this?? What if in future someone else opens an account in WF from our college IP?

Help me out please. I am confused..

Thanks in advance..

Actually, if companies restricted everyone to one IP, they would have gone BANKRUPT! HELL, right now(the last 2 weeks), I am accessing from 4 different NETWORKS! The one I am on NOW, at this minute, rotates at least 100 IPs. The EVDO one I use rotates perhaps tens of THOUSANDS, or more, HERE alone. I haven't even checked the other.

For the last 4 years, I used 4 OTHER networks.

BTW each network HAS to have different IP addresses. SOMEHOW people tthink an IP address is used to LOCATE, is fixed, and is like a physical address. That is TOTALLY wrong! It is used to ROUTE, is often NOT fixed, and isn't physical at all. Of course, a ROUTE with the TIME of the routing can be used to maybe tie a person to an IP. I am at a hotel right now so the closest the IP could come, IF they send one to the hotel to check the routers. is perhaps 1/20th of the hotel, or maybe 18 rooms, assuming I even am in a room.

When you dial up an ISP, unless you have been assigned A private number, your line will point to a particular router. Each router is given only a relative few IP addresses it can provide, and assigns one to the line.

Well, I have used 4 here, 4 in the last place I was, about 2 in the place prior to that, about 3 at home, etc... Just above, in the past 5 years, I have used 13 networks. So even if I always had a fixed IP address, I would have had 13 IP addresses. In reality, it was probably THOUSANDS.
