I watched Narnia and thought this episode was much better than the first two. In that the plot is more coherent. I don't like the religious connoctations though, as I never liked references to "the force" in Star Wars films.

I don't think the series started off this way. He may have changed his mind along the way.

In this episode, the lion Aslan clearly identifies himself as Jesus at the end. In the first episode, Aslan rules as a king, is involved in battle, and kills a witch. I just cannot reconcile this to what Jesus would have done.

The books were written after his conversion back to Christianity. And he did say that this series was written to make Christianity more accessible to young readers. However he did also sprinkle in some Greek Mythology characters in the series as well.

I don't recall the WHOLE story but SUPPOSEDLY he was originally an atheist. Of course, I don't even know if he was an author at that point.

I loved the Voyage of the Dawn treader book, which i read as a kid in the 90's. One of my favourites from the whole Narnia series, along with Prince Caspian.

Hopefully It'll be a nice big hit and make lotsa money.
