OFF TOPIC

Hi. I saw someone mention a merchant account provider a while back and forgot to bookmark the site. Doh! If anyone can suggest a merchant account provider they are pleased with, I will certainly look into it. In light of the recent fiasco with paypal and the wikileaks stuff, I just want to have a plan c in place. I already take google checkout and alertpay. I am just exploring other options. You can either pm me or respond in the thread. Thanks for your help!

EPOCH is a pretty good one too, and they literally will be a merchant for anything. Also SquareUP is a new merchant solution, its pretty awesome you can take payments from your phone! Very easy approval process, they are like a slightly more advanced paypal.

I have NEVER EVER EVER seen ANY such animal! I mean NOVA, and a couple others are, but they aren't compatible with much, so people use OTHER gateways! The ones listed above don't count since MOST, if not all, outside of the paypal pro, have NOTHING really to do with merchant accounts. Still, I don't think the merchant account paypal pro uses has an available gateway to use it on the internet. THAT is the part that paypal pro handles.

I think nearly every merchant account is fine with internet usage, they just generally don't provide for it. The three major internet gateway players, at least in the US, seem to be authorize.net, verisign, and paypal pro.
