Need Guidance w/printable product

I've created a product that can be personalized and then printed.

This is what I can do now:
Offer a sample online, do the customizations myself, send to customer for approval, accept payment, take file to printer, pick up from printer, ship to customer. I'm lazy and don't want to be this involved.

This is what I would like to do:
Offer the product online with consumers having the ability to add their customizations. They pay, hit submit and the file goes off to a printer and it is shipped directly to them. I receive tons of money.

I am somewhat of a control freak, so I don't just want to sell my design to someone else. I do want be involved in some of the customer service aspect. I like making people happy and will go out of my way to do it.

I did talk to one person last year about the printing if I did the customizations. My file is made in paint.net and that seemed to be a problem because it was not made in Photoshop.

So, just wondering if any graphic designers can help lead in the right direction? Or someone with printing experience? I'm not sure really where to start.

If I can get this product going, I'll need some marketing soon!
