This business will drive you to drink.

Two comments.

"Absolutely fantastic!"

"Thoroughly disappointed"

These two comments by two different people described the same product.

If you do not have confidence in the products you create and sell, this
business will eat you alive.

I know a lot of people who would have taken that second comment totally
to heart and would have let it demoralize them, forgetting about the
person who praised their product.

Confidence, confidence, confidence.

Another quickie for my friends in OT.

You guys are the best.

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

    Who is this quickie for?
Who are your friends in OT?
    What guys are the best?

Confidence is had by who? How do you get the kind of confidence
you speak of?? Does it come from your friends in OT. If so, where do the
rest of us get some? Lucky you. Now help us, please.

When you make at least $100+ per month, we split the profit 80/20 and YOU get the 80% Until then, you keep 100% and I'll help you drive traffic, get backlinks and put the domain in your name too!

That was a bit snyde. Steve started at point blank just like everyone else here and "help us" is exactly what his products are intended to do. He's not a social service and if you notice by his post count, he's spent major amounts of time and energy on his business. He's not LUCKY - he's PRODIGIOUS.

Confidence comes from within - nobody can GIVE it to you. Confidence comes from continual learning, endless doing, and knowing your field as solidly as any other or even most experts out there - and are building products you know are quality - not just rehash from a handful of forum posts and WSO's and ebooks.

Nobody can GIVE you confidence, however - it is there for the taking if you have the fortitude and stamina to grab it.

No, I wasn't being "snyde" but I still don't know WHO he was referring to? I'm sure his products do help or people wouldn't buy them. Wasn't it something about "you guys are the best" and his friends in OT? I think all posts over 1,000 are somewhat of a social service that people from all over appreciate, especially when the "what" you need includes the formula for getting it. Or, is that included in one of his products you are referring to? I didn't see any products listed anywhere? Did I miss something?

Confidence is there for the taking and everyone has the stamina to grab it, yes but not everyone has the fortitude or stamina to keep it. Nobody, meaning no one person alone can give you confidence or anything else unless you're looking for trouble. Everybody else gives you confidence or not depending on what they say and who is saying it. Whether you choose to listen to it or not depends on you.

You have to learn how to grow some skin instead of listening to what someone else happens to think? You should always hear what they say and respect their opinion but that doesn't mean you have to listen to them if you don't believe what they say. Confidence is knowing the only opinion that really matters is your own and what anyone else says about you doesn't matter with one exception.

If you want to be an authority figure, what everyone else says about you matters more than what you say about yourself. How do you get that kind of unwavering confidence? That comes from being fearless enough to ask questions, find your own answers and make sure what you do is the same as what you really believe - not what you say you believe. Then surround yourself with people who believe the same things you do.

People give each other "Confidence Confidence Confidence" to stand up to the few who will always find something derogatory to say until it won't even make you flinch. Everybody gives you the reassurance that shows your confidence is well-placed when they do one or more of the following: praise you in reviews, ask for your help and then listen to your advice, tell their friends about you, send you invitations and buy your products or those you endorse. Grandma Blanche always said, "If they ain't talking about me, they ain't talking about nothin'" just like that. Believe that. It's true.

People are very inconsistent in their perceptions. Some people tell me I'm a drooling fool, others call me a genius (I'm somewhere in the middle, lol). It's like mint candy. Some love it, others think it's like sucking toothpaste. When can you do.

      TBird,

I think most of us here consider you a drooling genius...

That reminds me of a quote from The Simpsons...

Personally, I possess very little confidence. Pretty sad trait some times, but it is there.
So I have to find it, and have sucked out every smidgen of encouragement all these 'guys that are the best' have handed me.
No magic pill, but compliments and critiques have helped me take steps and now I just have to listen to the 95% of customers that praise my work. Not the 5% that weren't thrilled.
But, Steve is right on, I have to believe I do what I do pretty well (they can't all be wrong, can they?)
