In how many days have you attained 1000 posts? And what was the number of hours that you have stayed each day on the computer?

    Slow down, cowboy...

You should be thinking in terms of weeks or even months. What's the rush?

I've been here ~4.5 years and only have a little over 5,000 posts. If you look at my stats, that's a little less than 4 per day, on average.

You should be looking to add value, not jacking up your post count by throwing up a couple of dozen one-liners on your first day...

I think everyone in this forum have average of 4-5 posts a day. So it will take more than one year to post 1000. Warriors are not here to get maximum posts they are here to post when they need and when they require. So this thread is useless as far as this forum is concerned.

I've been here almost 4 years and I'm nearly at a 1,000 posts now.

I pop in and out of the forum when I'm online during breaks, it is more healthy for my mind than reading tabloid news etc

In recent weeks I've been posting more frequently than I used to, I've gone from around 500 posts to almost a 1,000 pretty quickly.

My Thanked count has also shot up recently from 30 to 247

Warrior's who've accumulated thousands of posts aren't making a post every 10 minutes exactly, they're just consistent in making a few posts daily.

If you make just 5 posts/day, in 2 years you'll have made 3,650 posts.

Making loads of low quality posts to accumulate a large post count quickly isn't wise, as you'll end up with a poor Thanked count and the Join Date doesn't lie.

At 1000 the Internet Gods come to your place and throw you a big party. Caution! They will wreck your whole place and you will have to move.

It's relative to how you post. If you always post short and easy (which usually doesn't help anyone) than your post count will be higher. If you post longer and more meaningful, your post count will be lower but you'll gain respect in having taken the time to help people. Balance is good!

Who really thinks about these things? I just post when the thread interests me and over time it adds up to a bunch of posts. Just add your two cents, try to be helpful when you can, build a reputation. Post count does not matter if your posts have no real value.

I'm more of a lurker than a poster but I do agree with the sentiments of "value over post count".
