Does anyone here a sony bravia 55" HDTV 3D ready tv?

Are you able to get Picture in Picture at all?

I've just spent the last 2 and half hours on phone with tech support and they can't work it out... and my firmware wont update either.

Cheers

    Loz,

Just for grins I looked at the TigerDirect, Best Buy, and Amazon descriptions and nothing is mentioned about PIP.

Here's what it does say about the picture modes...

    Picture Mode: Vivid, Standard, Custom, Cinema, Game-Standard, Game-Original, Sports, Graphics, Photo-Vivid, Photo-Standard, Photo-Original, Photo-Custom

I don't see PIP anywhere in there.

kinda had that feeling, i heard that older models have it, for some reason, at least i hear, they discontinued it... sucks, stuck with a 3k tv that dont have one of the main essential features i wanted... nothing better watching tv and having ones trading station showing in the pip window... oh hum.

cheers again Bill for the reply

yeah, the picture is awesome, and the 3D is out of this world... more so when playing grand termiso 5 in 3D mode

still having issues with some minor things though.

Yeah, I am ALWAYS doubtful now about ANY feature people can't quickly enable.

I once bout a product that claimed it had a feature. It sold around the planet claiming it had that feature. Nobody ever fully used it because:

    1. Few products needed it.
    2. Something dissuaded people from using it.

The company SWORE that they supported it. They offered to send me docs. I figured that wouldn't help but, what the heck. I HAVE been known to read schematics in my spare time. I got them, read them, and asked the company AGAIN how to do it. They CLAIMED they had a system that was running it THERE! And I said OK, can you tell me HOW it even COULD? The schematics don't have enough address buss connections to allow it. They then tried to back pedal by saying that all documentation on the planet had a typographical error, and that feature was never intended. Yeah, I think they tried to set things up to have plausible deniability. They knew exactly what I wanted from the beginning, and it took months for them to come clean.

Besides, if tthey thought I meant ANYTHING else, they would just ask what software I was using, and tell me which driver to use.

Luckily, they are OUT of that business now. Intel got rid of the reasons for their products. But they make GRAPHIC CARDS!

I haven't seen too many HD tv's w/ pip. Picture in Picture is having a hard time keeping up w/ the recent technology - digital, and High Definition.
