What Do You Think Of The iPad? Do You Like Another Tablet Better?

I'm thinking about buying either an iPad or another brand of tablet but I haven't done too much research yet. Does anyone own any of these? What do you think and feel about them? Any recommendations?

    I don't have one but I used them and I have been going back and forth about getting one for a long time.

    What I ended up with is getting a $350 brand new PC laptop/netbook.

    For me it is a wiser choice. You can do so much more at 1/2 the cost.

      Agreed. I'm actually buying this as a birthday gift for my girlfriend, so that adds another aspect to think about.

    The biggest advantage I see to a Tablet is if you do a lot of traveling. Otherwise, it's simply a toy - go with the one you like best or can afford most

    I think buying a brand new laptop or PC for her is a wise choice to go for. She can use it for lots of stuffs.

    To make an Ipad useful you have to jailbreak it. No USB, No HDMI Out. Have to upload music and video through itunes.

    I bought an Android tablet and love it! This is what I got. I carry it everywhere. I also featured it in my cloud videos (streaming videos via upnp on my network and from the net):

    ARCHOS

    That is the 7 inch. They have a 10 inch too but I carry this around with me. Works great as an ereader too with the Kindle app.

    I am using Ipad. It is actually great. Pls use it without any worry.
