Massive internet slow down... what's causing it?

My internet is currently being extremely slow for me for no known reason. For example, this forum that usually takes a second for a page to load now takes 5 minutes on average to load!

It was fine this morning, but slowed down later in the afternoon. I can't even access my email or Google.

A few things to point out:

-I'm the only one using the internet in the house

-I've tried resetting the router, didn't work

-I'm not on a wireless connection

-My ISP is AT&T


Any expert know what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

    If the computer plugs into the router, which plugs into a modem, the first thing I would try is bypassing the router and plugging the computer's network cable directly into the modem. If that makes things better you know there's a problem with your router.

    It that's no help the next thing I would try is using a different cable. If that works better, then you know the cable is the problem.

      You can try to clear your browsing history first , clear cache and then try to plug the computer directly to the modem. You could also contact your ISP to check if there maybe an outage in your place causing the slow connection.

    Turns out all I had to do was reset my computer, how odd.
