Purging Your Environment: Can It Help You Focus?

Have you found regularly purging your home and belongings on a consistent basis helpful for improving the energy and focus in your home?

I'm cleaning out my room and I'm throwing out years of stuff. Granted, it's not a lot of stuff, but to me it feels like a lot. I see a lot of knick knacks and doo-dads and other assorted crap in the house, and I'm like, "Are you really in need of all this?"

I realized as of recently that I'm very minimalist in certain aspects, so maybe it's me, but throwing out unnecessary things - especially things I haven't used or seen used in years that lack true sentimental value - energizes me, mentally defogs me and allows me to prepare to receive upgrades.
