For you what is freedom? Is it the kind where in you are free to do what you like or is it the kind wherein you are free to do what you ought?

I've always found the two go hand in hand. I might be free to go into the wilderness to enjoy nature...but I also need to protect that wilderness or it won't be there. You can be free and right.

To me freedom is being able to do whatever I like. And if anyone stands in my way, I do what I ought.
Me and my veteran friends understand this very well.

Good question...a mere barbarian such as myself wouldn't have a definitive answer. I think humans have been pondering this question since the dawn of humanity. There is no universal consensus of its definition. I believe freedom is the right balance between having choices, opportunities, and the insight to handle it.

Freedom is the right to control your own thoughts, and ultimately...actions.

Unfortunately, a few people never use their freedom wisely.
