Well, got the letter in the mail on Friday.

My mortgage is paid off early, mostly thanks to my success online. Gotta
call 'em up to find out how I continue paying the taxes and mortgage
insurance.

Yippeeeee!!!!!!

Why do you want to pay mortgage insurance when you don't have a mortgage?

I'm sorry, actually I meant homeowners insurance. You know, like if your
house burns down and stuff like that.

There is no need to be sorry - I was just wondering if I had missed something!

Well done - it must feel great, and very secure.

Steve check with the company you have your car insurance with.
Many will give you a discount for having the two policies with them.
They will come and do a home inspection and usually find something stupid that you will have to fix.
They nailed me once for not having hand rails going to my front porch.
I tried to dispute it because I had taken the steps out but they insisted.

Congrats Steven! What a wonderful feeling that must be For those that can't pay it all off, you may be surprised to know that you can severely cut down your total amount by simply making one extra payment a year (they recommend that you add an extra 1/12 to your payment each month to make it easier). You can shave something like 7-9 years from a 30 year mortgage by doing that....

If your mortgage is paid off, what do you need mortgage insurance for?

Don't worry about the taxes, you'll get billed directly for that. Just make sure you pay them.

    Congratulations.
