My favorite animals are rats, raccoons, and crows. They epitomize adaptability and co-existing with humanity and even thriving off of it without falling victim to it.

(When someone calls me a rat I take it as a compliment.)

  You're right. Raccoons especially are very resourceful. Personally I think that resourcefulness is one of the best traits a person could have and it's one I value the most.
  
  As for favorite animals, I once had a teacher who told me his favorite animal was the Duck because they float around the water gracefully, but what you don't see is all the work they do paddling underneath the water. Hard work with the appearance of it being easy. To him ducks represented modesty.

My favourite animal is a Dog.I love dogs. Dogs are loyal and they are man's best friend. I have dog his name is Tomy.

Hi Rat (LOL), I like teddy bears but not the live kind. I mean only the stuffed toys.

I am allergic to dander and feathers (and also to dust and smoke) so I can't really have live animals around. Even the stuffed toys have to be hypoallergenic, otherwise I'd have a really bad case of hay fever.

Canines wild or tame.

Can't think of an animal I don't like.

Rodents are awesome. I used to live trap mice in my house because if you live in the desert, you have mice. Most were just ordinary house mice but I sometimes caught Brush mice, which are adorable hamster-like mice. I'd put them in a cage with bedding food and exercise wheel, then take them out to a place with plenty of food, stream, etc. when I got several or the ones I had were fighting. Two brushies I caught were too young to put out close to winter so I kept them for the winter. I was going to release them in spring but they got way too tame. I really loved those sweet little guys. I don't think that people realize how keenly intelligent rodents are. People freak because they carry diseases, but from what I've seen, if you have badly diseased mice around - it's because they got into HUMAN waste and filth. I never worried about diseases out in the desert mountains - only in cities and on factory farms.
