Are People Really (Secretly) Enslaved

This is something that used to interest me when I was younger. (I read “Weapons Of Mass Delusion” for instance.)

However, I've kind of forgot about it since I started working on my own personal power.

So what's your take. Are people really enslaved by the media/religion/etc. And if so, what do you think about it.

(Looking forward to this one.)

...

Oh -and something I just realized. Please keep this thread positive. If there’s any “ranting” (instead of discussing) about religion or anything else - I will be deleting it pronto.

I think you want the Mind Forum - not the OT.

You can't list "religion" in your question and then expect it not to be mentioned - and it's off limits.

I meant here because (it seems) like there are older and more experienced people here.

I was definitely hoping that religion was mentioned. (Just not ranted about by people who can't have a mature discussion.) Maybe this thread will be deleted. But it would be a shame because it's something that I (and many other people) are interested in.

        Now that's just suicidal.

There are people who can discuss the subject rationally - but many more who can't, so you might as well just stay away from it in here. For every logical reaction to the subject you will find 5 which won't be.

(Haha) You're probably right HeySal. Maybe I'll stay away from mentioning it in the future. And I appreciate the response.

Yes. People are very enslaved by their dogmas - from whatever source they receive them. People are even enslaved by their subconscious mind and the way it associates and files information. When any group knows how to manipulate those connections, you get dogmas, and you have brainwashing.

When you get to certain groups that have convinced people they stand for free thought and are about nothing but self-sustaining propaganda, you end up with human flocks of livestock.

Our media is an example of a propaganda machine. They were formed and developed as free press and later became owned by corporations who dictate and control what is said very strictly. People are able to be brainwashed by the mainstream media because they are either not aware of the corporate ownership chains or they do not understand the term "corporate news media". We used to be educated against such cages in our thinking, but our schools are not independent organizations, either, and the ownership does not allow diversion from the will of the ownership in the teaching sector.

But - remember this. People have the means to self-educate, to analyse, and synthesis information for themselves, so if they refuse or fail to do so, it's their own fault. This is a problem for others who do not respond to the dogma when the owned group gets large enough to take over those who prefer independence to it.

    Hi Ho.
