When people say you Can't do it

when you started internet marketing did you ever have people tell you that you can't do it and you'll never make money?
I've had my sister, mum and brother tell me that what I'm doing is hopeless and that I should get a job like everyone else.

I started affiliate marketing a 2 weeks back, and so far I've launched 2 sites that are on page 2 and still moving up the ranks. I'm confident that I can make a lot of money doing this and I really do enjoy it. So it hurts when your own family members put you down.

so has anyone ever doubted you?

    Oh hell yes. You should have heard them calling me delusional and suggesting I seek a counselor when I promised my sister's dog he wouldn't die of the cancer that was about to kill him when I first saw him. He's well and mine now. LOL.

    My dad still screams that I am lazy and refuse to work -- even when I put more in my pocket online than I could offline. It never phases him that somehow my bills are paid and I'm not on any assistance. Hmmm. Wonder how that happens? I guess it's magic. The fact that my arms hurt from typing some nights has nothing to do with it, I'm sure.

    Just get over it - and ignore it. They may or may not come around even if you make piles of money. Do what you have to do no matter what anyone else has to say about it. If it works for you, great. If it doesn't do something else - but never do anything because of what someone else has to say about it. Life just isn't good when you do.

    I always got the "that's not real work" thrown at me.. and they're probably right because if you enjoy doing it, it's not "work", is it?

    I am not technically doing IM but am earning through internet. My family and friends were little skeptical to agree to what I said but later they too realized that internet has a lot more than it is thought to be!!!
