Bought this at the flea market yesterday.. not sure where it was made or how old it is. The letters VPP are scratched into the bottom.

Looks like 3 owls..

No, I can't play it.. I actually didn't even realize what it was until after I bought it. I just thought it was pretty unique looking.

        Been there, done that
I still have stuff I bought that I don't have a clue as too what they are. They look neat though. Someday I'll have to dig some of that stuff out of storage and figure out what they are.

You'd had to get it appraised by a professional, I'd reckon. Hard to tell how old it is, just by looking at it. Probably not so old, but you never know. It could have significant added value if done by a well-regarded artist. It looks sort of like Mexican ceramic sculptures I sometimes come across.

That's a wind instrument? My mother makes clay whistles in the shapes of animals, some quite elaborate.

It looks Peruvian to me, tho generally the ocarinas I've seen have been brightly decorated. I've never seen one all black like this and haven't been able to find one like it online..

Was kinda hoping it was American Indian but the more I look at it, I don't think so.

It is a wind instrument.. you can barely make out two small holes located under the smaller owls, there's a larger hole just under the back of the larger owl's head, then one of the legs is the mouthpiece with another hole located just above that.
