Hey guys,

Shall we donate Japan sth? I want only the experienced to answer. It's really sad to see countries falling prey to earthquake like this . Last time, it was Haiti and this time it's Japan. I will donate if you say yes.

Why would you need someone else to tell you whether to donate or not? It's a personal choice what charities you choose to give money to.

Please do not 'release balloons' for celebrations. The balloons and trailing ribbons entangle birds and kill wildlife and livestock that think the balloons are food.

I wish I could but I guess the sense in donating is not giving your food money away. I'm not the big earner yet!

I haven't heard of any donation efforts Nickomia. Not sure where you'd send the money. Maybe one of the Warriors in Japan can tell you who is taking donations and who is trustworthy to do so.

I have heard of several organizations like the Red Cross of Japan and the Earthquake relief fund or something.

I'm not a frequent news reader, though!

If you go to PayPal, they have it set up where you can donate to several top charities that are helping Japan.

    All the best,

What do ya know - if you scroll down the page there is a post with several links to donation sites. Next time I'll look before answering - next time also, look before posting.

I think this was more meant to be like a poll of who has donated something. So that's what I posted in my first reply. I wish I could but I can't give the money I need for groceries away.

The Red Cross has reported $9 Million in donations for Japan.

As well I read around 70 countries have offered aid to Japan - not sure if that includes money - but of course manpower, equipment, technology etc. is worth a lot of bucks.

If I was you I would stick to 'mainstream' charities because this sort of thing always brings the scum of the earth out to steal money under false pretenses.
