What actually triggered you to get into IM?

For me, I studied marketing at uni, and I started working in offline marketing for different organisations ever since I decided to major in marketing. After I graduated, I worked full-time as a marketing specialist for a while. And it was really the full-time work that put me off.

Not that I didn't get along with workmates or hated my boss. Surprisingly I actually became good friends with my boss. But it was just the work, the commute and every day going to the same box, seeing exactly the same people. I was bored and unmotivated. It was slowly killing my social life and it literally felt like some sort of imprisonment because it was so routine. It was then that I decided this was no way to live, it was wasting my life away. So in other words, it was really losing a sense of direction that triggered me to enter IM.

What about you?
