Hey Warriors,

Have any of you noticed a reduction in spam recently? Apparently, Microsoft successfully nuked the single largest botnet on the web, Rustock.

Here are a couple of articles on the development;

I wonder how long this will last?

    Interesting. I had a webform on one of my site pages and was getting tons of spam through it. The page is pretty much no longer doing anything although it's still linked in, so I just had my tech zap the webform. And I still got spam from it. Don't know how that works but it was irritating enough for me to put a spam filter on my main email and now I have to check the spam filter for real mail every day.

    A day or two ago I stopped getting spam from that source. I'm not ready to think that they've sussed the whole problem - but it's great that one of them is gone regardless.

    I have noticed an increase in spam on our main email account. (Gmail) but they are pretty good at sending it straight to the spam folder.

    However, the only good spammer is a dead one and I applaud MS as they have done a public service- maybe I even admire them now - even though it is sometimes next to impossible to get mail delivered to our members who use MSN.com, Live.com or Hotmail.com
