When people ASK you to supply FREE services in exchange for 'marketing' opportunity..RUN!
I actually know someone thinking of setting up a business whereby they recruit 'free services' in exchange for an opportunity to build a profile and get thier work seen in top magazines etc.
They would only do that if they believed hand on heart they were the ones doing the favour and had the most to offer as oppose to properly appreciating the work of the artist and the fact they are 'donating' their services.
Be wary of people with these 'offers' and run for the hills!!
If you want to do it for free..do it but don't do it on promise of 'marketing opportunity' because they'll screw you into the ground.
I am not saying this to deter people for doing freebies to improve their portfolios etc but do be aware those that 'ask' for such services tend to be far more demanding and less appreciative than those who pay for it.
