What's With Some People?

I posted an ad on a freelance site, saying that I need original articles from a freelance writer based in a certain city in China who speaks the language. Then, I get applications from people based in Philippines, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

Well its easy, as you can notice these countries are arent that rich and most outsourcers come from there. Lots of unemployed people looking for money and the can/usd dollar is worth a lot where they are.

That makes sense. The probability of their being hired would increase dramatically if they actually first read the help-wanted ads and responded in relevant ways to gigs for which they'd be qualified.

Those folks just submit a bit for everything they see in case someone hires them.

They don't read the requirements - you can often tell who they are by fast bids and low bids.

I think people do this all of the time. People are in such a hurry that they don't see what the job or application or task is about. They get so excited or are just rushing to get in as many of whatever as possible and just ignore anything else they feel to be extraneous, which in reality it isn't.

Which give you a clue about their attention to detail and what kind of quality you would get if you hired them.

Yeah, most of the time they don't even read the requirements.

On vWorker.com you can set up filters so you will get bids only from people from China. There are a few more filters that will help too.

Yep, where you are desesperate for some money, you tend to ignore some requirements. I cant blame these guys though, it sucks to be poor.

I do seem to have found a writer who fits the bill for this project. I'll know for sure after the articles are written.

I just had the other side - and invitation tonight to submit a bid on elance. The $1000 job caught my eye until I read further.

1000 word articles is fine. Keyword density given - fine.

But the ebook included that I "must read" (not) about article writing and requirement to submit one custom article for free with the bid - is a joke.

The "sample" article lists one main and SIX LT keywords and required 1%-2% density for EACH - and the buyer lists 4-5 required "info topics" that must be covered in each paragraph. In fact, I think the instructions for the "sample article" probably is about 600 words....

After all the fancy language and the detailed stipulations - what he wants is to buy $30-50 articles for $10 each. Thanks, but no thanks.

Well this thing has become very common now and they are people who just want SEO projects and they will apply to any opportunity without even reading the requirements!
