Gwyneth Paltrow Song Autotuned?

I watched the episode of Glee with Gwyneth Paltrow singing "Forget You" (formerly called f*ck you). Her singing had that distinct sound of autotune. I find autotuned songes almost singing as if a voice went through an accordion. I wasn't for 100% if her voice was autotuned, but I've leaned that others suspect the same:

It seems like she wants to get into singing. I saw her singing on some awards show. I thought her voice was good.

  • Gwyneth actually has a CD due out soon. I don't know if her voice has been auto-tuned or not, but it seems to me that anyone needing to use that technology obviously isn't really much of a singer. Heck, with this technology, we could all be budding rock stars!

Autotune is used for a LOT of so-called recording "artists" these days....

Yeah, that's true. It's rampant with rap 'singers' (or maybe that's why they call themselves 'artists' now, instead). It used to be the criteria of a good singer was being able to stay in tune. Now, it doesn't really matter so much. Might as well use a computerized voice, instead of your own, then tweak the settings to make it sound how you want. Record labels will be able to save millions of dollars in the future when they perfect this because they will no longer have a need for actual singers. :p

I hope Alex da Kid reads this. I'm sure he could give an excellent insight into this trend.
