True. Radiation has been detected on Canada's west coast, but I'm not dwelling on it. It's not like worrying about it will help.

It's been detected on the east coast in the US.
Like you said, worrying about it won't help.

It has been detected but in microscopic amounts that can't harm anyone. Still, its unnerving.

    US West Coast too -

Every 'politician' or 'spokesperson' has said the levels are not harmful and still less than an Xray or MRI.

Whether we can believe them or not is another question, but like Thunderbird says - what can we do about it?

I don't think we should take Iodine pills unless it gets excessive but it might not be a bad idea to stock up on some and avoid the crush.

I was shocked to read about the run on those pills - and that many people started taking them right away. They aren't without risk and panic reactions can cause more damage than the original scare.

The pollution of the ocean is what worries me most - but worry solves nothing and changes nothing so we just watch and wait.

According to the latest figures (Glasgow), when compared with radiation levels emanating from homes, they really are paltry. More of a concern to those in close proximity of the accident.

That's totally Hoax. Even in the Philippines which is nearer to Japan, the radiation haven't reach there.

Catastrophes are hitting sturdy countries. Flood in Australia. Earthquake in New Zealand. Earthquake/Tsunami in Japan. No one's safe.
