Just browsing Youtube (I'm bored actually) when I saw this.

I don't know, but they didn't distract me so much.

It really touched my heart to see how that lion welcomed them at their reunion. It's just funny to see how they are really powerless against the lion's strength. That's the only dangerous thing, they think they give you a gentle stroke with their paws and they don't know that you have no fur to protect you.

I agree. At first I thought the lion would pounce on them, then what happened afterwards was just...

    Really sweet.

However I will wait for the time when 'The Lion shall lie down with the Lamb' -

It is one of my dreams to be hugged and kissed by a Lion.

Things can 'turn' and get out of hand really quickly - and we wouldn't have a chance (in hell)...

I don't want to imagine a vegetarian lion.....

If you want that to happen, work for it and it will be. Go live somewhere close to a lion reservation or other place where you can work with small cubs and then when they'll be big, you could be hugged and kissed by them.

I've seen this before - it put me in tears. People think that animals don't remember. They do - they remember everything. They know when they are in serious trouble. This guy knew he was going to be okay because he made the right connection with Christian. If the animal had been older and the bond hadn't been so tightly woven, there might have been trouble, but the connection he built over the time he had the animal was a tight one. He didn't just save the animal, he made friends with it. The lion had no reason to be afraid that he was there to take him back to captivity. He gave him as much freedom as he could while he had him, then gave him the rest when it was right.

It's called friendship - real bone deep friendship.

Your right Sal... They don't forget.

That was touching, unless that was setup, they were taking a heck of a chance, though.

Just don't ever try and pet a Llama...

I swear to all that matters this is true, one thing about my life, I sure don't have to make anything up..

When I was a teenager in L.A...I was in a offshoot of the L.A. Zoo in Griffith Park...after hours.. where I shouldn't have been. (Naturally)

Anyway I saw this "thing" didn't know what it was. I had never seen a Llama before. Well it looked cute and cuddly..so I jump over the fence ...he seemed allright with that.

I walk up to him literally saying "nice boy, nice boy.."
and that thing spit grass right into my eyes at point blank range..supersonic...hurt like a @#$%^ well I had a natural tendency in those days to start swinging ...which I did...missed, as soon as I stood straight from missing, this thing was on his hind legs swinging hoofs... he hit me in the shoulder (to this day, I'm glad it wasn't face) sending me back.. felt like a truck. I turned and barely made it back over the fence, this ornery ******* bangin his hoofs on the other side of the chain link fence.

I let him know how lucky he was that.. I heard someone calling

I never forgot that Llama...and if I ever see HIM again, It ain't going to be a happy homecoming.

Lol that was over 30 years ago.
He's probably long mystery meat at some restaurant by now...
      one can only hope.

This video is amazing. It reminds me of a pet dog. Especially my friend's great dane. When it doesn't see him for awhile, it will stand up and put its paws on his shoulders and kiss/lick him in the face. I know how some pet animals can turn even when living with the people like chimps and predatory animals that people have taken as pets. I figured being in the wild for awhile may not have made the animal completely forget, but I thought the lion might just come closer, sniff a little in the air and maybe run off or maybe come close and sniff and just kind of pace. I've never seen a lion do that except in the circus, but usually not even to this level. The whole time the lion was greeting them, I just imagined a tame, pet dog. Awesome video. Very refreshing for some reason.

Gee Jim - someone stuck me in a zoo and I'd be spitting at humans too. I think you got the better end of the deal.
