I have a site that I go to every day. Today it decides not to open in any browser.
I thought it was the server down and called the company. Server not the problem.
I tried a different computer... what do you know the site opened right up.
I tried doing a system restore on the main computer... still won"t open the one site I need. I made sure no filters interfered.
I tried three different browsers. still nothing. I just get site not available like you would if the server was down.
All other sites load fine except the one I need.

Can someone tell me what is up??? I am totally stumped!

THANKS!

Anyway, I also have a problem here like even though I open a website but sometimes it wont work.

By the time I changed my IP it work.

Or try also to run a free program ccleaner it clean or removes any crap in your pc.

I used also system mechanic or registry mechanic just do the search on youtube or in google.

    Hope this might help.

    Take care.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try that if I can't find anything simple.
I spent most of a day and did an extensive tune up on my machine about two months ago and everything has been working great. i was hoping to not have to do it all over yet. This just started in the last two days.

What you can also do is look in the file:

        C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

If there are any strange entries relating to the domain that doesn't work anymore, you can simply delete them. (You may need to start Notepad with administrative rights)

Some viruses make entries there to redirect you to different IPs. Basically the entries in this file override the true IPs of a certain domain. I use this feature for local web development, so that I can define domains like mytestsite.local and they point to my computer's own IP.

Ok, more than likely, it's not your connection, so let's try these steps and see which solves the problem.

    1. If you are behind a router, bypass it and see what happens.

    2. If that doesn't work, uninstall all security software on your computer (this includes third party firewalls, antivirus software, and any antispyware or antimalware software you got running on auto protect).

More than likely, it's one of those two that has gone haywire at this point.

Once I find out which one, I can tell you how to fix it.

I am plugged directly into the router instead of wireless just to try to get the fastest connection possible. I will bypass the router and uninstall antivirus this evening after work and let you know what happens.

Hey Floyd, I bypassed my router when I got home tonight and the computer connected to the we site right away. I tried it before I disconnected the router and it would not connect to that one site.
Now what do I do to make it work with the router.
I have been on computers a lot and never had this one happen!
