@Greg....I hear you man... I am the same...when I start drinking coffee.....things start to get done... and mysteriously checks start to show up within weeks....
Oh gotto go... my coffee is waiting for me....
and yes.. in 2012, I will give up coffee for a whole year.

  I havent tried caffeine pills (they might work) but I did try those expensive coffee candy's from the See's candys and its a lame, weak and pathetic attempt to wrap the awesome power of coffee within a wrap with golden foil...

  Last time I checked Coffee/caffeine was the second biggest domestic imported item in the US.... then I started reading labels at the supermarket and there it was... in almost every thing that I got my hands on.

One of my colleges was in a very serious meeting talking about databases and 24*7 access, disaster recovery, co-locations etc.. ( i used to be a database administrator in my past life)...
and we were preparing a emergency plan and someone brought said that we don't need to worry about long term plan coz accoring to mayan calendar the world would cease to exisit... and my friend in all seriousness asked the other guy to shut up...he said..."they just didn't know how to count beyond 2012 then and that the calendar makers of those days had to go home as it was already 5pm their local time"....lol

In a word, star bucks and Gevalia Coffee machines...?

All this commercial Bull ****?

...Couldnt get up without it... Im serious I would be a zombie... Yeah I feel weak and dependent but whats a man gonna do? No coffee = bad day... Nobody likey John. They think he should just go crawl back under his rock.

Ps. Weak coffee sucks.

On a SERIOUS note: I believe my Telemarketing room broke records because as commando, I would make coffee and wait on my telemarketers a couple of times per day... and I had a rep for making what they call "Jet fuel"... I think it was responsible for alot of sales personally.

Other managers would try to save coffee and money... Im like "Lets BLAST em with coffee and MAKE money"!!!! also incentives, and contests and bonuses.... Make people celebrate their job.... spend money to make money.

I found cofee to be my weakness too and not embarassaed to say that I am quite proud of it.
I don't like watered-down artifically falvored....mask the aroma....sweet to the bone coffee....i like it dark and slightly bitter ones...

When i used to work 4 someone else (long time back...once upon a time long time ago) I tried to brew one pot of coffee with two packets of coffee but then a wise ol'sage told me. To make XTRA strong coffee... you don'e need twice as much beans/power, you need to double and triple the filters... that way the hot water percolates slower and there by makes the coffee stronger...

What a beautiful irony....To make more money in life... you don't need to be buy... buy....buy latest shinny objects (search for "shinny object syndrome" for that thread)... you need to spend twice as much time with the ones you have already bought....

On a serious note... i just missed your 15 member WSO...BTW you had nice sales copy and I think what sold the deal so quickly was that one particular response which was KICK-butt.

Will try to get in early on the next ones...

And I agree.. weak coffee sucks and coffee is not for wimps...

LOL I gotta laugh cos I started a thread this morning about my lack of focus, one of the distractions being making myself too many cups of coffee!

So in my case, no, drinking loads of coffee has not increased the amounts of checks I've received.

Hey now, I didn't say I didn't need a a few good shots to get my day going, just that I don;t have a relationship between coffee and checks.
And well,thats not exactly true,because I mainly drink a quad expresso nowadays due to having to limit my fluid intake. Everyone wonders how I can drink that,but it is an aqquired taste.
Anyways, my relationship is order an expresso, see my check(card) fly over to the cashier!

ON a side note, I have a sister that lives in Hawaii and every Christmas I get a back of Kona. Kona coffee made right is like drinking the nectar of the Gods............

You are soo right about KONA Coffee... very few people know how to make that right....tough....

BTW...have you ever tried "Kopi Luwak" I am not that ambitious but after watching bucket list...I think this is the height of coffee fanaticism...

If you are wondering what is Kopi Luwak... google Kopi Luwak and look at the wikipedia page for the "gross" explanation....Now thats a flavor I dont want to try...

Christmas is a little ways from now but in the meantime keep cashing the checks....

I'd say cashing cheques is related to my coffe drinking LOL.

Lately I've been drinking more Yerba Mate tea instead of coffee but I still drink a few cups of coffee a day.
