I see alot of people on here recommend Wordpress.

Wow. . . . I'm surprised not alot of people haven't mentioned this already!

    The majority of people on here, including myself, host our WordPress Installations on our own domain names and servers. We do not host them on the WordPress servers. So although the security breach is worth noting, it probably isn't a concern for too many people here.

    Personally, I take blog security very seriously, and do everything in my power to make them hacker proof.

      Good Point about hosting your own. You will be VERY surprised how intrinsically insecure the web as a whole is. *Cough* Check my link on Computer Security although for most it would baffle and confuse.
