Oh what a week.

As some know,last week I thought I was being offered a kidney only to have the offer withdrawn about six hours later. Needless to say it was quite depressing.

Well, Since that happened last Wednesday,several things have happened. a lady that works with my wife has offered to test to be a match.
But that's not all. Over the weekend we were visiting some friends and their daughter,who is 20, who I have known since she was about 5 and my wife has known since she was born, told us she wants to test to be a donor.

So at this time I have two potential donors.

I have gone from no end in sight from living daily on a machine to the possibility of life without it in a matter of weeks if things go well. Keeping the fingers crossed.

    Hopefully they both test good.

    In your other thread a WF member was also inquiring about the testing; etc...course, I think you were off playing while we worried, so you might not have noticed it. name was katied772 (numbers might be wrong)...not sure where she is located; if your two lined up don't work out, might give her the info for testing

      While I am very optimistic one of these two will work out, if anyone is interested in testing PM and I will give them the information.

    Still praying for you every day, Kim and looks like I need to double-up on that with an end maybe in site.

    Just remember it 'ain't over til it's over' and all about 'conversion rates' - so eventually it will happen! 'You can't fail unless you quit' - Don't quit hoping and praying!

    We will know if its a preliminary match fairly quickly. One of the transplant co-ordinators has told me in the past that if I got a live donor then the operation can happen within a couple of weeks.
