As I type this it looks like heading to $1.07 and higher.

Earlier this century, about 2002 from memory, the Aussie was worth US$0.48.

I used to love getting those cheques from clickbank and the like, and getting more than $2.00AU.

    Sigh, those were the days.

May make sense to change the payment type - but if you are selling mainly to a US market, could hurt sales so watch for that.

In the U.S., we're conditioned to expect to buy in USD. Not necessarily a good trait - but something to watch after making the change.

Well, you're going to see gold skyrocket as well as our stock market here. Those who are holding USDs are dumping them as fast as they can.

Tell that to the motor industry in this country who price gouge, charging 2/3 times more for cars than overseas, and justify it with some BS about the forex market and hedging against the currency rates.

YEAH, I DOUBT the AUD is going up. Why would it go up? The DOLLAR is falling, and THAT is why the AUD buys more dollars. 8-(

The dollar has actually fallen in relation to all major currencies.

Actually, the AUD is going up, but not as much as the USD is going down.

Our economy is relatively strong and stable, and is seen as a proxy for investing in the Chinese and Indian boom markets, because of all the resources we selll to them.
