I want to know why my signature disappeared on its own? I want to know because its shocking. And i want to know how to get it back.

That's strange. To recreate your signature go to the UserCP at the top left of the toolbar. In there is the option in the left sidebar to edit your signature. Otherwise if that doesn't work I don't know what to suggest, other than contacting the site admin to see what's up.

Do NOT recreate your signature if it was deleted. Go to the sig rules and read - if your signature violated those rules, recreating it could get you deleted as well.

Signatures don't often "disappear" - but are sometimes "removed". Usually there's a message left by mods, but not always. Check the rules before putting the same sig back.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

Your best bet is to contact the forum administration and ask them what happened.

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

No, it isn't. Admin doesn't answer emails about "why was my signature deleted". At any rate, questions go to the help desk, not to Admin.

The most common mistake is putting an affiliate link in your signature. Many try to hide the link - but you are on a marketing forum so people notice things like that.

That all depends on if the signature was just a link or a paid ad,if it was I would contact anyone that can give the answer to why the signature was removed.

And that would be bad advice; which is why Kay corrected your earlier post.

(btw paid ads don't go in sig files)

I was under the impression that you were able to post an ad there:

Q: How can I add an Image to my Signature?
A: Please see the following How-To video on how to add a Signature Image:

            http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ge-banner.html

The fee is $60 a year which works out to only $5 a month. Once subscribed you will be able to immediately add an image to your signature.

The only real difference is the facility to include an image. The main sig file rules still apply.

It could be that you deleted it by mistake or even created one and have not saved it.

  • We have your signature. Don't worry... it is safe for now. Leave 100 gazillion dollars in the trash can at the park tomorrow at noon, and it will be returned unharmed.

Seriously, though, more than likely you violated a rule. You need to contact an admin if you didn't receive some sort of notification.

You might have used an affiliation link or you might have shorten or cloaked your URL

You are not going to get it back. And you already know why.

I was going to say the same thing, Paul. and

I'm half tempted to write up a phony sales page, graphics and all, and post it up here in the Off Topic section.

Does anyone know if I would get in trouble for that as long as the Buy Now button didn't really connect?
