18% tax on soda, iPod tax, movie theater tax, sporting event tax, taxi tax, bus tax, limo tax, cable TV tax, radio tax, clothing tax...

Glad I don't live in New York.

#1 for the cold and #2 for the taxes

It wouldn't hurt me much anyway. I have no cable tv, never go to sporting events, never ride a bus, taxi or limo, don't own an Ipod. Basically only the soda tax would hurt me.

My brilliant idea is the idiots who put the cr@p and trash on TV should have to pay the 50% CRAP tax.

Sonoma isn't that a county too? Or maybe that's a state in Mexico too.

  Yep NY ain't for wimps that's for sure.
  Considering we are just one of many states facing financial melt down don't be surprised to see the same.
  One good thing is if you can live and survive in NY you can live and survive anywhere.
  We have our own ways of dealing with this kinda stuff so I'm not to worried about it.
  That soda tax is the only new one I'm aware of. We call it a fat tax, cause it is only on non-diet sodas.
  Still better then Cali. they're number 1 in taxes.
