Wikileaks: Thailand Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn dog's birthday with naked Princess Srirasmi

The above video was leaked by a servant and was shown on Australian television. It shows the crown prince and crown princes holding a birthday party for their poodle. The setting was birthday party for their poodle in the prince's palace. The crown princess later crouched down like a dog in the video. You can see the servants kneeling down before their masters. The most surprising thing is that the servants do not seem to be shocked by the state of dress of the princess. What this possibly means is she must appear quite often like this in front of the servants.

I wonder if we will see a leaked video from William and Kate soon!

This video was thought to be leaked by a servant. It was shown on Australian television. Of course, it is suppressed in Thailand but many people there knows of its existence. The most offensive aspect of this video to Thais was that she appeared topless in front of male servants. Just to think they will be the future King and Queen of Thailand.

Oh man the Thais aren't going to be happy with that.

Most Thais are very serious about their traditions, at least the last time I was there 25 years ago.

She doesn't even seem fazed by the camera.

Now that the video is public they'll owe royalties for the Happy Birthday song.

I watched it and what I see is someone totally unselfconscious about her lack of clothing. I think may be something she does often at home.

He doesn't seem to be self conscious about her appearance either. I was expecting posturing or posing but what I see is someone who is almost childlike in her movements. It does seem with others present you might wear more than a hat and a g-string but servants have often been "invisible" to the very rich.

I can't see any good that could come of making the film public. Am I wrong in thinking that?

I'd heard years ago that Paul McCartney had purchased the rights to "Happy Birthday," but apparently that's not true... the song is owned by an arm of AOL-Time-Warner and earns about $2million per year in royalties:

        snopes.com: Happy Birthday Copyright

I actually find that much more interesting than the fact that some princess was walking around topless somewhere and people are scandalized by it...

Still on the old computer so not going to watch it right now, but get the drift from the posts.

There are a lot of closet nudists around. Some people just don't see the point in having to wear clothes in their own private space. Our customs used to be prohibitive of a public display of such nature and the whole country would have been upset had they found one of our own leaders was prancing around in the buff, so I can see how this could hurt even if it's just a harmless thing. Servants, unless they are slaves, would not have to work for them if they felt things were too bizarre.

I don't see a point in this being publicized. It's not like they are hurting anyone.

My view (and maybe Sal's, too) might be a bit different than view of those in Thailand based on what is so commonly displayed here by some.

When we see nudity here in "captured videos" we usually see someone displaying their body - balloon boobs, sucked in gut, etc. The person is usually totally aware of the state of undress and want others to notice, too.

In this video the Princess was not "enhanced" and she wasn't posing in any way. That's probably why I don't see it as outrageous. In the privacy of your home, you have certain freedoms of dress and behavior you don't have in public. I understand the concern about "servants" but I doubt this couple spends much time at home without a servant around.

Just a view from the other side of the world.

The Thais themselves often complain about Western women sunbathing topless and wearing skimpy clothing in public that is very disrespectful to their culture.
That's an interesting comment to me. Two men I've known who lived in Thailand for a time say they enjoyed the "sexual freedom" exhibited by Thai women. They claim Thai women don't have the "inhibitions" of western women. Of course, they may have been talking about prostitutes (you know how men talk:p).

Thailand is both a conservative and liberal country at the same time. It has got just about the highest number of prostitutes and transvestites per population in the world. Yet its government is keen to promote public decency, especially in dress and etiquette. Although it is in theory a constitutional monarchy, the monarchy has powers and influence that is well beyond most other constitutional monarchs.

There are real concerns in Thailand about their crown when he succeeds his father. He is not popular because there are many lurid allegations against him. Besides the princess being topless in this video, there are two other aspects that are offensive to ordinary Thais. One is that she is wearing a G-string. Another is she appears to be wearing a "dog tag" and later in the video, poses as if she is about to eat from a dog dish. This act is highly disrespectful and offensive to women.

The Thais themselves often complain about Western women sunbathing topless and wearing skimpy clothing in public that is very disrespectful to their culture. Just what will they think about this if they saw it? If something like this happen with royalty in the UK and Europe, there would be a huge scandal.

I thought I was watching the knockoff version of Hangover 2. . . What did you expect though? She rich and she's also a princess. As far as the birthday party for the dog, I would totally expect this from a young, spoiled rich girl or princess. As for the toplessness, that was a bit odd, but it IS another country far away, and they have different ways of going about things. As for being hedonistic, I might consider myself that way too if you consider fun as being part of hedonism, because and fun and the good feelings are what motivate me.

Okie dokie! If they are practising nudists then why aren't they all naked? That's my question. Not that I know much about nudists but I would think if you were a nudist that your partner probably would too???

Very strange! Maybe she was doing it for the dog!

Here is more on Foo Foo the poodle as described by the US ambassador to Thailand

WikiLeaks cables: Thailand's royal pet - Telegraph

"Mr Boyce described the dinner in a valedictory dispatch in November, 2007, when he “paid a farewell call” on the 58-year-old Crown Prince. The prince’s consort, Princess Srirasmi, “confirmed that the Crown Prince’s miniature poodle, Foo Foo, currently holds the rank of Air Chief Marshal”, wrote the ambassador.

“Foo Foo was present at the event, dressed in formal evening attire complete with paw mitts, and at one point during the band’s second number, he jumped up on to the head table and began lapping from the guests’ water glasses, including my own. “The Air Chief Marshal’s antics drew the full attention of the 600-plus audience members, and remains the talk of the town to this day.”

Under Thai law, criticism of the royal family is forbidden, but the Crown Prince was at the centre of a scandal in 2009 when an Australian TV channel obtained a video of a lavish birthday party he had thrown for Foo Foo, during which Princess Srirasmi, 39, sat topless.

I have no problem with what they do in the privacy of their own home.

Heck, I wish my wife would walk around topless around the house

But they seem to have lost touch with reality if they gave a dog military rank.

I always assumed the members of any royal family were highly educated people, and from cradle to grave were taught what was acceptable and unacceptable in polite society, and know how to act on the world stage.

But more importantly, I wonder how I would act if it was against the law to criticize me. Would I have the strength of character to be a gentleman, or would I give in to every temptation?

Enough pondering, I have a manual to write
