xsitepro question for an xsp2 user

I don't want to start a major xsp discussion - have a simple question.

I have not upgraded to version2 to as, with scripts I added, xsp1 was fine for me.

Have been thinking about upgrading (I missed the sale in December, darn it) - but can't get one simple question answered from the FAQs.

If you upgrade to version 2 is that done by changing your install of v1 to v2?

What happens to all the version 1 sites? Can they be uploaded to v2 - are they still workable? Do you have to rebuild them? I have a lot of v1 sites.

I realize it's a naive question - but I don't want to get the upgrade and then find all my v1 sites don't work or can't be changed or added to. It seems like a simple question but when I ask it of the xsp "ask us" site - no one answers it.

Thought maybe someone here who used v1 extensively and then upgraded could give me a straight answer.

    I installed V2 last year. Although it was a new install (I still have V1 on my drive), I just migrated my V1 sites over (if I remember, it was an option during the install) and they worked just fine in V2. There was no need to rebuild.

      I don't mind updating the sites or removing the scripts - but I don't want to rebuild dozens of sites! It seems like an easy question but for some reason no one at xsp would answer it - maybe they thought it was too dumb
