My little girl turns 2 on the 2nd of January and I am unsure what she would like for Christmas.

She really likes toys. Any suggestions?

My daughter at that age loved those houses that went outside but instead we put it in the house so she would have access to it all the time. I don't know if they sell them anymore but she also loved animals so I got her a vet set, it came with a pet carrier and all the accessories. She loved Elmo at that time so we found everything elmo. Lastly, she started with Barbies at that age too. Little girls are much easier to buy for at least I think.

What is she really interested in?

Well at 2 years old they still don't care too much. So don't worry too much. Just like a baby, they care more about the box than the actual toy.

Dolls-little girls love dolls-there's so many to choose from
Singing or talking dolls or stuffed animals
    Care bears, my little ponies
Some care bears talk and sing
A doll house with little dolls, like a mommy, daddy, girl, boy, etc. She can play with that for several years.

    ha ha the TERRIBLE TWOS!

Get her a drum set, mini piano, big rubber hammer, little bulldozer, water guns, paint guns. Let her go off in style!

(don't worry the terrible twos don't end until after they are 18 and then you just worry alot)...

Seriously, if she was mine I would buy her ruffly pants, those cute little bobby sox with the lace around the cuff, little maryjanes - and all sorts of sweet little girlie stuff. (I had a boy)

I am sure all girls are born to love clothes!

You guys have been great with your suggestions, but I kind of feel a little guilty.

    You see,

    I didn't tell any lies....

I do have a little girl.......

She will be 2 in January.....

    She does love toys......

    But......

Maybe a photo would explain things a little better.......

    My little girl, Jesse:

    Sorry.

She is currently chewing on a large bone. I don't know where she got it as I didn't give it to her. But, then again, I haven't seen the postman lately.

Well I was going to say a pony... but having a look at your little girl I'm glad that I didn't!

My little boy turns 3 on 27/12/08 maybe they could date? His interests are, chewing pigs ears, sleeping, playing with one of his 50 stuffed toys, hiding his bone in the garden, digging up the garden to retrieve said bone, chasing the neighbour's cat. Yes, he is a puppy btw a little maltese terror and the apple of my eye

Merry Christmas & advance Happy Brirthday to Jesse

Sorry, Leanne she is strictly a German Shepherd girl. Her boyfriend is a very big boy and would not be happy about your little fellow.

Actually, German Shepherds are terrified of little dogs...................

They can get stuck in their throat. Sorry, but the only dogs she ever has trouble with are nutty little dogs who aren't smart enough to know they are out of their league.

German Shepherds are real snobs. They will always congregate together and some show dogs go to training at the local council course, not because they need training, but they need to learn about other breeds. They often won't perform in the show ring if other breeds are around.

Jesse records her experiences on http://MyGermanShepherdSite.com.

Well Charlie records his experiences on the couch

He's not allowed to date until he is 21 anyway ... I don't want some chicky babe leading my little darling astray!

My youngest turned 2 in November and he loves "Into the Night Garden".. your little girl might like those toys, they're adorable. Just choose a toy from a show she likes, always a safe bet =)

PS: Avoid the new Talking Elmo like the plague, LOL

lol well if your little girl is a dog, then she really won't care if you don't get her a thing for Christmas.

I don't have pets but I used to have a golden retriever who loved chewing on stuffed animals. She always had a stuffed animal in her mouth and slept with them under her chin. She lived bout 11 years then died

So a stuffed animal could still work :p But don't spend $25 on a stuffed animal for a dog to chew on

I don't think the dog will like the ruffly pants Pat suggested

Don't worry P-you can adopt me so you can have a daughter

You also need to put pictures of Jesse on your site. I didn't see any. Is Jesse your only "child" or does she have any brothers or sisters?

Jesse has numerous dog brothers and sisters as her dog father is literally a stud. I, on the other hand, have a son and a daughter, both of whom are in their early twenties. I am too modest to discuss my status re being a stud.

      Yes, I am old.

Jesse WILL care if I don't get her anything for Christmas; she is looking forward to it. I fact, she is looking out for the fat guy with the reindeer as I have told her that reindeer meat is good.

Jesse has her own site, http://MyGermanShepherdSite.com where she tells of her experiences and has a link to her Flickr photos.

I shall shortly be looking for birthday present ideas for her.

  • When my daughter was two, she loved little figures that she could hold in her hand. Just had to make sure that she couldn't choke on them.

I found that she would take Piglet everywhere with her. She also liked My Little Ponies a lot too.

    Hope this helps.

Well if you get something for Jesse don't you have to get something for all the other brothers and sisters?

Why don't you get Jesse a Winnie the Pooh to chew on. Or how bout some Wiggles stuffed dolls to chew on they're from over there.
