    I watched the video: the newsreader said she had an English accent; the on-screen text says a "British" accent; and her actual accent seems to vary between Hollywood stage Irish, Scottish, and South African, with some sort of weird hybrid Scandinavian-ish accent mixed in for good measure.

    I don't know what it is, but it's definitely not an Irish accent. Not a single Irish person speaks like she does (and I should know; I've been one all my life ).

    (To me, that would suggest that perhaps Foreign Accent Syndrome, if that's what she has, is heavily influenced by the sufferers' perpections of what they think a particular accent should sound like? Just a thought...)

    I trimmed my fingernails and started speaking with a Spanish accent.

    Thank goodness they grow back fast.
