What's your adventure?

Is there some adventure or exciting activity you'd like to try before you die?

I'd really like to go sea kayaking in Alaska.

Also, although I'm too afraid of heights to actually try, I've always been fascinated by those powered hand gliders....

I would be afraid to try it,but it does look fun.
I have a major fear of heights, but a few years ago I decided to face my fear and did a bunjee jump.
It probably took me 10-15 minutes to actually do it,but I finally did. I used to have a picture of me hanging,if I can find it later I'll post it.

    YouTube - power hang glider

Yea I would like to try and understand women...second thought, too dangerous.

I've probably had enough excitement and adventure for two lifetimes...
now I'm getting old and forget why I walked into a room sometimes.:p

    But
    ...

I would like to build an all computerized yacht (which exist)
    self sustaining electrical, desalinize water..etc...etc..
I still like doing all the building and mechanics myself.

I can picture it...standing on deck waving goodbye to my wife..*sniff* with a hanky to my eyes, till I get over the horizon.

Then I run down the ladder and break open my specially built refrigerator that holds beer and 25 year old Scotch...break open my first beer. Then it's on to rolling out the hammock...set that up...then oil up the 50 cal. that I have mounted on the bow. (Pirates everywhere, I've sailed the seven seas, and the other exotic country pirates are really P.O.d that Somali's are gettin all the glory)

Then set the GPS navigation and pick up a game somewhere on my satellite t.v. and relax until I get to my first island.. maaahhhn.

Course my son can come as long as he remembers that on my boat, you start out as beer boy until you work your way up to deck ape (naval term).

He can keep Daddy sober enough not to sail into an iceberg off Hawaii or something.

Of course these could just be the ramblins of a mid life crisis, of a guy who has plenty more mortgage and school payments... as I daydream while typing into my computer on a public forum...

    or is it...

better go up on deck and contemplate the sunset:p

My adventure is ongoing. I like being out in the gem fields. Sooner or later I want to give Arkansas Diamonds a whirl. If I had to pick ultimate trips for that it would be Patagonia for agates - Afghanistan for many gemstones, Turkey for those incredible agates that put the rest of the world's to shame, and an archaeological dig in the SW states.

I don't have to wait for ultimate trips, though -- this weekend Ricky, my niece and I will be in NV getting turquoise and petrified wood and ??...................
