Some Real Estate Marketing Advice....

Hey everyone,

This forum has to be one of the highest concentrations of marketers anywhere!

So it made sense to ask a marketing question here for my other industry, real estate.

I have been selling homes just North of Toronto, Canada for over 25 years. Unlike many parts of the U.S., we are booming here. Properties are selling for very close to asking price, within a week or two.

It's a realtor's dream market. Except....there are few listings right now. Demand is grossly outstripping supply. It's down right tough to get a listing here. It's a very, very competitive market.

I am so tired of seeing and using the same old marketing mailer pieces. "Free market evaluation" certificates and "Just Sold" and "Just Listed" cards etc. I am tired of it because everyone is doing it and I would love to come up with something that differentiates myself from the pack.

Something that would make a potential seller, stand up and say "That guy must be pretty cool" or "Innovative". "I wanna sell my house with him!"

Yeah Baby!

Know what I mean?

Any little ideas or input would be really appreciated. I honestly couldn't think of a better place to ask for this kind of help.

I need to get a few homes on the market quickly so I don't miss the boat. These markets don't last forever.

I love this place for the sense of community. Any ideas welcome!

Cheers All,

Tony.

Hi Tony, no ideas but I did have an offline client bugging me to find him a gas station to buy or lease. He was looking for something just north of Toronto.

I just sent him an email; if he's still looking, I will get in touch with you!

I'm not a real estate agent, but this guy seemed to think I could pull a rabbitt outta my hat.

I just sent you a PM. Let me know if that helps at all.

Thank you for that! This is truly one of the most amazing places. I didn't expect a referral tonight from asking about marketing.

Yes, if your offline client needs some help, no problem. my real estate site is Brampton Real Estate Agent (a little anchor text for myself)

You're in cottage country? What area?

      Thank you.

      Cheers,

      Tony.

I'm in the Hastings Highlands area - right on the edge of beautiful Algonquin Park. Lake St. Peter and Mink Lake.

I am awaiting a reply from my offline client. I prefer communicating via email with him as he has a heavy accent and is difficult to understand.

        Cheers,
        Jody

Get ready to sharpen your pencil Tony! I got a reply - he is still looking and wants me to find him what he is looking for.

I have sent him a few questions regarding price and location. I will pm you when I can narrow the search field!

        Cheers,
        Jody

With your 25 years experience, it is hard to second guess you on this. Looks like you know SEO and stuff. Pm if you want my input (not trying to sell you anything, but I'm not sure I want to broadcast my ideas).
