How many domains do you own?

I have 11 domains right now.

Now that I have some $$$, I am planning to get some great Drops from DropDay.com.

Also, I just got rid of a few on a domain forum for like $5 each but they would have dropped otherwise...

How many domains do you have?

How many you plan to drop?

How many websites have you developed on those domains?

3 domains, i only developped 2. I would suggest to work on 2 sites at a time, more then that starts being too much besides if you plan on making them autoblogs!

I have two. One is my work at home moms project I'm working on with several friends, the other is for my writing portfolio. I will probably be buying a 3rd very soon for my PLR shop.

      Hello,
I have 6, all developed, some hands off but I do add content from time to time.
Some are blogs that I post to on a regular basis. I write all the content myself so they keep me pretty busy on top of all my business writing.
I'm planning a couple more this year.
      Thanks!

I currently have 20 domains. I manage 3 blogs that were I purchased. I bought a couple of closeout domains at auctions that I plan to drop because I just never got around to doing anything with them.
I have 3 TLD's (.com, .net, .biz) for my business name I develop content for the .com, the .net forwards to the .com and I use the .biz for lead generation all 3 of these are to keep people with similar business names from stealing my traffic.
I have about 2-3 more that I was using for MLM businesses I gave up on that I might auction off on godaddy.
Right now I'm experimenting with adsense for domains (displaying adsense ads on parked domains) until i get around to developing, outsourcing the development or dropping the remaining domains.

I have about 100 and have developed about 60. I let a bunch of .info's drop off. Not into the link wheel stuff any more so letting all them fall off.

I'm probably at around 100, and have probably let over 200 drop (or sold) in the past few years.

Most are based around the shirt printing that I do, so I plan to develop all of them eventually, but I am pretty far behind at the moment. I have about 8 that I was using to promote another business I was in, but I wasn't making any money so I am going to let them drop. I have a couple of good adult domain names that I keep meaning to try and sell.

All of my domains are at GoDaddy. It seems like every time they run a sale I can think of another domain that I want.

Hi I am not a domain grabber but still I have around 20 domains under my name, last couple of years I learned a lot about domains and found that when the time comes and you are not interested in that domain anymore, do not drop it.

I just redirected a couple of domains to the sites that I am focusing on and getting back the SEO values I put on those domains. Domain renew costs only 10 dollars a year so it is better than losing your hardwork for that sum.

We have about 350 domains right now. Around 300 of those are developed with another 50 more on the way. We're picking up around 80-100 per month at this point but are hoping to grow from there.

I used to have 150+ but I've halved that number in the past year.

I used to love picking up exact match domains, but now I've realised I'm just never going to get round to developing them all!

I've decided to focus more on the sites that are making me money, rather than constantly adding new ones to my portfolio.

    I have between 50 and 60.

Most of them are things that were mentioned in a chat room and I said "THAT'S AN AWESOME PHRASE" and ran to check if the .com was available.

I have no idea what to do with most of them, but there are worse things to do with $12 when you're drunk in a chat room.

I have 12 right now. 3 are developed (and ongoing work in progress). 2 have some clickbank item on them and eventually I'll get to promoting them. the other 7 were going to be something but then I realized I did not have time for it. I'll either let them drop or see if I can find a clickbank item that fits with that domain and then just do some basic SEO or maybe outsource the SEO of them to see if I can at least make a little money from them.

58, with about 30 developed. Have let a few old ones go recently to concentrate on exact-match domains. Plan is to systematically go through the undeveloped ones and put a site up on each rather than leaving them parked. Then add fresh content to the developed but neglected ones.

Too many, I used to have about 65 but with the price increase at godaddy and at some others, I sort of decided to let a few of them go that were not really producing the ones that were doing well I keep, I suspect there are others that are evaluating the need to keep renewing domains, I used to just keep them because well it was cheap but now its what $11.99 a year, for .com at godaddy, you might get a few bucks off with a coupon, but all in all I am not renewing as many as I used to have, think I am down to 45 or so now.

After doing the math, 65 domains at around 8.95 which is what it used to be to renew domains, was around $578.00 with the price increase it would be around $779.35 per year, I have to wonder about the who is in charge over there in business development, looks like to me they are loosing more money than they gained by the price increase.

      Tim,

You need to to google 'godaddy codes'. I've found some good GD discount codes.

      Recent ones I've used are:

      cjc749fat - $7.49 (new .com)
cjc795dom - $7.99 - renewals (.com but not sure on others)

Funny thing is that I've been using these codes for months. Occasionally they change them up, tho.

GoDaddy has a discount club or something where you automatically get the lowered price, similar to what you'd find if you used a code. I think it's like $80 a year or something...if you have quite a few domains to renew it's definitely worth checking out.
