If you could go back to high school...

If you could go back to hgih school, how would you change your life decisions?

Would you have worked for medical school, making a consistent $300,000/year at the age of 32?

Would you have done dental school?

Would you have gone to law school?

Would you have gone to business school?

Or what?

For me, I think I would have gone to dental school ($200,000 and 30 hours/week).

Thanks for the compliment, although I doubt it applies to anyone as my services are limited to a certain geographic region and a very certain test preparation service.

Only if you regret not going to law school...of course if you believe all lawyers should be required to be in coffins by dawn....

None of the above. I would have done exactly what I did. I graduated HS and then went straight into the workforce, learning and earning.

I wouldn't have done anything really different in high school either other than going to parties which I never got to because of strict parents. . . Then I would've gone to college once again because denying yourself the ability to gain that overpriced piece of paper yet getting all of the irresponsible, awesome, fun times as a bonus is just abuse. I loved my college years and would go back no matter how many times I could go back or live.

I didn't really party in high school, and thinking back I wish I had.

That being said, one time a deck crashed though and nearly killed everyone...

If I could go back to high school I'm sure they'd absolutely kick me out this time.

The sh*t I got away with in the 60's would make headline news these days.

        I'm not kidding.

Oh yeah - I'd make headlines, too - but I wouldn't get kicked out. My daddy hired and fired the teachers.

I can't imagine having to go back to high school again. I would HATE that. I wouldn't mind going back to college though - those were some fun years. And I would change my major. I'd have either taken physics or geology instead of linguistics. That's about it.

Bill I still hold records in my school for being suspended more then anyone else who has gone there

You're right about the stuff we did in the 60's would make the headlines today. We had a few kids who where into hunting and trapping so it was pretty common to find a rifle or a few Muskrat traps in the coat closet in home room.

I would have met my future wife there (she went to the same school 2 years
behind me except I didn't know it) instead of 5 years later so we could have
        had some extra time together.

Other than that, wouldn't change a thing.

That just warmed my heart -- wow.
I would have had the foresight to choose my courses a bit more wisely, and then to stay in college. I really don't think that a college degree ensures success, but it is still something that I wish I would have stuck with.

To be honest, I probably would learn a trade such as an electrician or some kind of profession such as a paramedic or paralegal.

Reason? I'm not cut out for higher education as the only way I can learn anything is by memorizing specific tasks...so that would have saved me about 30 years of pain, burnout, and wasted effort.

I would have focused on having more fun instead of working hard to get into college... only stayed in university for one year. I am not meant for the work force... I am meant to be a stay at home mom but I never realized that was a possibility until after I had quit college and moved in with my husband.

I would have followed my passion rather than listen to all the nay-sayers telling me to get a normal business job. Fortunately I woke up and realized this and started doing it in my early middle ages rather than waiting until I got old.

Well, you don't get a law or pre-med degree in highschool, you get it in college. Only thing I would do differently is join the XC and track team, because I didn't get involved and I realized a year after school how much I love to run.

Still in college though, and so far I'm happy. I've actually considered law school afterwards or even thought about becoming an actuary, but math isn't my main forte.

I would have probably worked harder in learning new languages and basic accounting and business studies.

We had a bunch of free time and very little responsibility, using it in fun things that I could use today sounds like a good idea to me.

Probably working on a health regime just to get accustomed to it, just being more proactive in the later years. This would help to be more fit with fun oriented, instead of fit because the doctor says.

    Cheers,
