Introducing Myself - Excited and Overwhelmed at the same time

Hi everyone, my name is Shay and I am beyond thankful I found this forum. I am currently trying to get started with IM and honestly, I don't have any idea where to start and I thank you all for the information you post here, even though I am overwhelmed right now, I am thankful I can sift through it and find out what will help me.

I have 2 kids under 2 and my time is limited but I know I have to give a little time to get things going. I know I don't have money to buy all these "programs" people are selling but I can learn from what you all talk about.

Thanks for reading and if anyone can point me in a direction for people who are getting started with this I would appreciate it

    Hi Shay - welcome to the Warriors.

    Reading the forums is a good way to start. There's also a "search" button if you have specific questions that will allow you to view what's already posted = then go from there.

    Welcome to Candyland...

    Keep your reading glasses on and your credit cards in your wallet until such time as you need a solution to a real problem that you can't find for free by doing a little research here.

    People sometimes fall into the trap of believing that BUYING products makes them an internet marketer.

    It's only when you are SELLING products (info, dog collars, traffic) that you become an internet marketer.

    Learn the difference and the hangovers are much less servere.

    Thanks, I am just trying to figure out where to start. I, at least found out what WSO means LOL. Is there a place where they have some of the terms on here so I can get familiar with those?

    My son has his own language since he's 21 months and I feel like I'm walking into another different language now LOL.

    Hi, Shay, and welcome!

    My #1 rule of advice:

    Don't get bogged down trying to learn too much at once by reading, reading, reading.

    Pick a method that seems good to you and research only about that method, try to get something up and running as soon as possible utilizing that method, and learn what you need to know only as you need to know it.

    You can always branch out and try other things later, but it's best to concentrate on only one method at first.

    Also, don't be afraid or shy to ask any questions along the way if you can't find the answer to something. You'll always find many knowledgeable people here willing to help in any way possible.

    Thank you Bill. I am thankful I don't have any money on my credit card or else I think I would have already bought 3 or 4 things just believing it will make me rich (although I am not that gullable, well not yet ). I really just want to revamp my website, use what I learned from Ann Sieg, Ty Tribble and the knowledge you have to work on my internet marketing to build an immediate income and my network marketing company (to build residual income) I joined.

      I see we crossed in posting, but that's okay. You might try posting the link to your site in the proper forum and asking people for suggestions for improvement. Typically, you'll get many good suggestions from everyone.

    Not a problem - was right where you are a few years back (minus the rugrats) and remember what not understanding what the simplest things people said to me feels like.
