      Hi Gavin,
IM is just like UFO for those who never getting in with internet!
But after know about IM, what I hate are writing articles and some offsite optimization: backlinking and boost up the traffics.
But with your 50 Daily Traffic Challenge, I hope it can help me to stay away from the "HATE" in IM.

Hey David, that is one I am coming across now.. It's getting harder and harder to break through all the clutter and crap thats out there.

A lot of people have been made to believe it takes a few clicks and money will pop out the other end. When I see clickbank sales videos I cant believe people actually fall for the lies.

It actually blows me away. Scammer products seem to me making the most of the money these days

The post I replied to said "scammer products" are making the money. Not all CB guys are scammer products, though some are.

What I'm saying, though, is that "scammer products" aren't the only ones making big money. For example, I know lots of merchants making a LOT of money online without being scammers. They're just not "loud" so they're less visible. One of my clients makes over a million/year and you'd never know it because they rake in cash very quietly. lol.

Also... people who build sustainable businesses (ebay, google, plentyoffish, dell, vocus, pixability, etc) make way more than scammers in the long term. That's kind of my point.

Off topic, but I looked up numerology after I saw your post, and this one site said that my birth day (22) determines my personality and it was EXTREMELY specific and accurate.

I'm GRATEFUL I have 3 computers, internet service,
and the ability to CHOOSE how much money I want
to make at any given time.

Seriously. *I* get to CHOOSE what lifestyle I want?

It doesn't happen in a lot of areas of the world. We
are lucky we had the opportunity to DO what we're
doing right now posting what we dislike about some-
thing MOST people would cherish everywhere else.

This isn't an attack on this thread, nor am I preach-
ing how it's *unproductive* this thread is here...

    rather, it's an appreciation.

For I can talk about how much I hate driving traffic,
writing all the time, getting the sales message right,
spending money to MAKE money, etc.

But is it really a bad thing compared to alternatives?

Manual laboring in the sun in Africa or someplace in
India where a computer is luxury and unfordable to
    the masses?

No offense, but a simple refund without all of the additional commentary would've sufficed. That's poor customer service, no matter what people say. There will be people who don't like what they buy from you. That's business. Simply give a refund and move along. A reply like that could damage any credibility you may have been able to save.

I used to do something similar when I first started
selling products, and *learned* that it's all just a
      part of doing business.

Not everyone will be happy with my products and
or service. I learned to accept that. Refund. And
      move one.

Aside from that, it's a huge waste of time to give
customers a piece of my mind when I'm too busy
      making money or building lists.

I'm a little surprised that you're still doing this con-

I have no issues with providing refunds..

My problem with this one in-particular is that he told me he is making thousands of dollars a month and my course is Elementary?

This is my headline for my product: I Can Help Your Make Your First Commission In Less Than 7 Days...

What was he expecting? It cost $7 to get the product to me thats just stupid.

But ohh well I guess my response was kind of crazy...

I have no problems with refunds but things like that piss me off.. Im rich but i want my $7 back ... I gave him his money back before I even responded.

I guess I just wanted him to wake up and smell the trees

      Hi Gavin,

NICE!!! Take a look at the mindset people. I am assuming your full time!
Yes and you correctly identified the reason for the nature of my response.

      Elementary WTF are you serious?

      Blah....
Wrong mindset. If you believe their reason for refunding, then they are actually helping you to adjust your business positively. They presumeably felt that the sales page was misleading. You should thank them. If you don't believe their reason, put it down to experience and move on.

You need to turn the TV off mate

Seriously though, I deliberately chose a place to live/work with plenty of leafy greenness around and a wonderful view of the bay.

What I DO dislike is those days when either -

          a) those damn petrol leaf blowers/strimmers/hedgecutters are used unnecessarily in all of the lovely leafy greenness around, especially when it's hot enough to need the windows wide open (which is when it usually happens.)

          b) the powerboats are racing on the bay, which are extremely noisy (in an annoying way - they go vroom...vroom as the prop leaves the water when they wave hop) and make me jealous as I'd rather be on the water than looking at it

What I love is starting work early (4.30am) and hearing nothing but birdsong through the window. It's musical heaven and really good for the health, particularly with sunrise thrown in as a bonus.

I hate them so much, i have had quite a few clients constantly asking me "does this service work" and "look at the proof of earnings from this guru"

I then take a look at the sales page and the so called proof for adsense or clickbank has been edited so badly the text is not even the font it's meant to be.

But people new to IM wouldn't spot this out,

I really don't like SEO. I wouldn't say that I hate it, but its like trying to hit a constantly moving target 365 days a year--and what is considered "OK" today is banished tomorrow.

I dislike it so much that I'm trying to move away from it. I'm looking for other ways to drive traffic to my sites and to tell you the truth its working far better than I ever imagined. I've also been creating sites to sell and its by far one of the easiest ways I've made money online.

I'm about to dive head first into CPA offers and media buying soon... So I'm sure I'll have an updated "what I hate about IM" shortly haha.

Learn what the search engines want instead of what the "pro's" tell you to do to get rankings now. Google tells you exactly what they want from you and every algorithm change has reflected that and will do so in the future.

Definitely learn how to generate traffic without search engines though. I think it's much easier. If you do nearly any other traffic generation technique with SEO in mind, you will still get search engine rankings...but they are more like a bonus instead of the main prize.

Oh I definitely don't listen to the pro's. I've been reading about SEO for nearly four years now--I've heard just about every bull**** line there is when it comes to off-page optimization.

I definitely enjoy the traffic and the victory feeling when you get a site ranked, but the race just gets old. Thankfully I outsource most of my SEO so these days its just a matter of managing and monitoring.

I've always been a huge supporter of driving traffic through forums and I'm really starting to take advantage of Facebook. I would encourage others to do the same.

There are things that I don't like, but I wouldn't say I hate something...

For example, I don't like the income variation that I have with some CPA campaigns. Sometimes an offer gets paused or a CPC increases... These things make me have some months that are much better than others. Of course, I have a "minimum income" that I alwasy reach and there are months when I make a lot more money that I was expecting to make, so I can't complain... but I'm trying to cut down on the short-term campaigns and focus only on the ones that can last for several months.

Nothing lasts forever, as technology changes you have to try new SEO tactics, as Affiliate Network product offers stop you have to keep finding new ones that work and convert. Constant research unless you are selling your own product!

Buzzwords irk me. The most recent one I keep seeing is "OverDeliver." It sounds so smarmy and toolish. I think I have a subject for my first podcast rant.

Marketing in general is a load of Bs. There is always an agenda. Nothing is ever real, or out of the deepness of anyone's heart. There is always a few bucks lingering in the backround.

I wish I had gotten into it earlier so I would be more established now as the popularity of IM is increasing. The biggest drawbacks for me are:

    1. The lack of a strict schedule means I spent so much time working I forget to do things besides work.
    2. My eyes get really dry from looking at the monitor all day.

ha ha my eyes are red right now.. I need to turn down the brightness on my screen.

Look up the 'Pomodoro technique'. Its really effective time management tool. You basically work in 25 minute intervals then take a 5 minute break then do another 25 minutes then take another 5 minutes break.

You do that 4 times then have a 30 Minute break.

On your breaks you reward yourself by looking at what you accomplish doing 25 minutes of focused work

      Works like a charm

Ya, I do use that technique a lot actually. My problem is that I end up working for 12 hours a day rather than taking a break to do other things.

My biggest peeve is the extortional claims, mainly aimed at getting newbies to sign up, thinking they could make drastic amounts of money in a short time, when in fact it's a ruse to get their business and move along, tarring all in the industry with the same brush

Hate about Internet Marketing ? Nothing, I love being able to get up when my eyes open in the morning, no alarm clock needed, except maybe for some early morning fishing.

Some Internet Marketers on the other hand, the ones that think that being sneaky, tricky or stealthy, in a word, dishonest, they make you want to slap them stupid, but you're way too late.

A 'Ninja' is someone dressed all in black that sneaks up on and kills unsuspecting victims, not really a good thing, but a good copywriter can make ANYTHING sound good, even being a sneak thief killer.

I love Internet Marketing but loath scammy Internet Marketers.

I would say it's definitely all the dwelling on all the things I should have done. E.G. Stuck to X for over a year and not quit after 2 weeks and not jump from one thing to another like I have ADD, would have been rich by now!

One simple word, traffic! Also, i hate how there's so many different methods. I find it's harder to accomplish things when you first start out because it's hard to focus on just one thing :/
