Well, does acer REALLY sell to individuals? I have two acer computers, and NEITHER was purchased through ACER. It sounds to me like Acer needs to encrypt that data as many US states are startng to require. They DON'T mention birth dates and credit card numbers though, so it may just be registration info. That info is too easy to get.

Yeah but ya gotta love M16s trick. They hacked an Al Quida online magazine that had recipes for bombs you could "make in your Mom's kitchen" and replaced the recipes with the best cupcake recipes of the U.S.

Now that's funny, I don't care who ya are.

That IS funny! Sugar and wheat can be EXPLOSIVE! Some wheat silos blow up because of sparks! I could just see some guy anxious to do this getting all the components, making it, and ending up with cupcakes! YEAH, I KNOW! It's a STRETCH, but look at the demographic. One guy I knew showed everyone an eprom with the sticker removed. HE thought that was so we could see the little circuitboard! He was about 16, as I recall.
