    I just don't buy it. I'm sure there has to be something missing in the story. Someone defaults on a student loan and a SWAT team breaks down there door? The police take orders from the dept of Education? The whole thing just seems off.

      Don't really know what happened but why is the Department of Education through the Office of the Inspector General authorizing police raids for unpaid student loans.

      I'm guessing we don't know the whole story but the Dept. of Ed. has admitted to issuing the warrant.

      If you watched the video the reporter stated they (D of Ed) only requested one police car but somehow a full-out raid was conducted.

      It'd be nice to have some transparency and accountability from government.

    It's worse than shocking. I guess we have just been reverted all the way back to the days of the King. I wonder how many more prisons they are going to whine about needing when people start getting thrown in jail for their debts.

    This has nothing to do with paying back student loans but rather fraud.

    Although I do agree with HeySal, that it's just a matter of time before we bring back "debtor's prison"; that will be scary for a lot of people.....
