Have you seen an UFO?

According to those pictures, I've seen plenty of "weather balloons." I've also seen plenty of U.F.O.s. I see them all the time, from time to time. I saw one in Battle: L.A. and in Independence Day. Don't forget Skyline. There have been others too though. I'm hoping to see one pretty soon with some Cowboys from the old West and Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford.

I was chased by one about 12 years ago. Let me explain.

While driving home at night from my newspaper job, I looked to my right and beside me was a green ball travelling with me. It was just off the side of the highway, around the treeline or where the ditch would be. I looked out my passenger window and it was right there - so it couldn't have been more than about 5 feet off the ground.

Now, my partner was scientifically minded and told me about swamp gas, that it looks green and can rise from swampy areas. I thought, "Ok. That COULD have been it, I suppose, except for the way it acted."

This lime-green bright light stayed with me for about 500 yards or so, flew past and then suddenly shot straight up into the air and disappeared out of my view. I don't know what happened to it after that. This light or "flare" reminded me of the exhaust part of a get engine, except I've never seen one that's green.

Was it a UFO? I don't know, but it sure was strange. A friend of mine who worked at the military base in the area said it might have been tracer fire, but I highly doubt it. Why would they be firing anything like that right next to a major highway?

Anyway, it's a mystery.
