I live near Los Angeles, The Gang Capital of America, over 50,000 street gangs and counting. Anyone who lives in southern California and not doing something ... is part of the problem, whether they live in Compton, Beverly Hills, Malibu or East L.A.

Autism charities and animal shelters. Kids with autism can do some amazing things if they are pointed in the right direction, but they need to be pointed in the right direction at a young age. There are not enough resources for these kids, and what is available is so costly that many parents of children under the autism spectrum end up having to file for bankruptcy to help their kids live a "normal" life.. it is awful!

I agree, I'd like to see more attention paid to autism, including research and education, the awarness is growing but not fast enough in my opinion.

Totally agreed. Not enough people take it seriously. However, some places are better than others as far as support and education goes. One of the reasons I need to do well financially is because I plan to move out west where I know there is far more support for it than here as I have connections to people in the autism field out there. My son is under the autism spectrum and he is doing well but therapy is costly, and there is not enough support, especially here.

I donate most to the sick childrens fund here in Quebec,Canada called "Operation Enfants Soleil". Every year I donate to this organization as much as I can afford to donate. I also donate my time to our local community every now and then.
