If you happen to stumble upon a Google Plus invite...

Where do I begin? Okay...

First of all, there's nothing innovative about it. They've only given fancy names to stupid features...

Circles - In Facebook you have Lists, which does almost the exact same thing. And the weirdest thing about this feature is that you have to see posts from people who are not in your circle. For example, I add you in a Circle and you don't add me in any. When I share a post with my Circle you are in, your Stream will show "Sumit has shared a post with you." So, like what's the point of not having me in any of your Circles? Let's say you are a big time celebrity and people just follow you and share things with you. So, all you'll see in your stream is "XXX has shared a post with you."

And honestly, I had come up with this Circles idea two years ago. I called it "Bubble" with a chain of people in a "Bubble" and when one person leaves, the whole Bubble "pops". But, I couldn't figure out my way around the bugs, so I stopped thinking about it.

Sparks - Why do you even need this feature?

Huddle - Ever heard of Group Chat?

Hangout - Now this is a cool feature. But, when you use the Hangout feature, you risk exposing your Circle to others. So much for privacy.

Also, in Facebook you can store unlimited images. Google Plus' images are handled through Picassa. Picassa only gives you 2 GB worth of storage (or is it 1?).

If they had come up with this idea before Facebook, it could've probably worked. But, FB arrived first and you know, the whole Coke-Pepsi thing.

And most of the times you just don't want a small group of people to know certain things. Say you slept with Sienna Miller. See now that's an achievement and you would wanna brag about it. :p You want everyone except your wife and kids to know about it. In Google Plus you'd have to add all the Circles individually - Drinking Buddies, Motorcyle Buddies, High School Friends, College F... umm sorry , Pre-school Friends etc.. instead of "Everyone except Family" (as in Facebook).

And you really think everyone's gonna arrange their friends in Circles? Probably, a few computer geeks like us. But, the rest of them.. No way. They'd just have one list called Friends.. lol.

I rest my case.
